One of the coolest things about working at dotloop are the chances we get to travel and meet with great folks all over the country. Whether it’s our current customers, people who’d like to be our customers, or the people who fuel thought and innovation in real estate, when we head to industry conferences, we always come away feeling better … not to mention smarter for having met all of them.

For our team, one of the best events we get to go to each year is Real Estate Connect. The flagship event for Inman News, it’s held each year in mid-January in the city that never sleeps: New York.

What makes #ICNY so great?

Lots of things. It’s an amazing showcase of new technology and creativity for putting that technology to work. There are few places you’ll learn more about what works, what doesn’t, what’s great, and what’s garbage.

But the thing that makes it really special—and we think most everyone who’s ever attended would agree—are the people who are there. Inman Connect (whether in New York or San Francisco, where they hold the summer event) offers, hands-down, the best networking of any conference in our industry. It draws people from all over the country and from all different areas of real estate. We’ve all met people there who’ve become people we’ve worked with, sure, but people who’ve gone on to become great friends.
Connect IS about connecting.

For us, going to Connect is like going home. Real Estate Connect, just like dotloop, is all about #peoplework. It’s about cutting through the nonsense to find the best in everyone. Whether it’s in an official session, at a casual gathering of people over drinks, or one of those great conversations that starts at what most people now refer to as “lobby-con”, there’s no better event in real estate for making connections.

Connect is a natural fit for dotloop.

For our own Austin Allison, founder & CEO of dotloop, ICNY was the perfect choice for places to do the official release of Peoplework: How To Run A People-First Business In A Digital-First World, his new book with Chris Smith. The book will be released worldwide on January 15th, and Austin will officially introduce it on the 16th at 11:45 when he breaks down Peoplework: A Vision For The Future.

Connect, dotloop, #peoplework. For us, there’s no better combination & we can’t wait to get there. See everyone in New York on the 15th!
